2021 FREE Virtual Tax Prep
LA CASH UPDATE - WE'RE AT CAPACITY!
As of March 1, 2021, LA CA$H Scan & Go appointments at the Lewiston Armory are filled to capacity. That has also resulted in LA CA$H preparers being at capacity to respond to LOCAL Get Your Refund online virtual tax preparation requests.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are ALREADY scheduled for a "Scan & Go" on a Thursday evening at the Lewiston Armory but the City of Lewiston closed earlier in the day due to weather, the Armory will not be open. A member of LA CA$H will call you to reschedule. Weather notifications will also be on the City's web site and on social media.

You CAN utilize the statewide Get Your Refund virtual tax preparation option.
If you have email and the ability to take pictures of your tax documents and upload them with detailed instructions stated at www.getyourrefund.org, please go to that site and sign up.

History of Lewiston-Auburn CA$H
The Lewiston-Auburn CA$H Coalition was established as a multi-partner coalition by the City of Lewiston, Maine, in 2003. It is one of ten coalitions statewide that prepares taxes free of charge for low-to-moderate income individuals. Community partners and volunteers also advocate "creating assets, savings, and hope" by providing resource connections for individuals/families to achieve long-term financial stability. The Coalition also promotes the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), a credit that can render a tremendous boost to household budgets.
In addition, since the 2004 tax season, the Coalition has facilitated free tax preparation by IRS tax law certified volunteers for low-to-moderate-income workers within the Lewiston-Auburn area and connected residents with asset-building opportunities. We also offer FREE financial check-ups.
