This program is an “INTRODUCTION TO SOCCER”. It is a beginner’s clinic where the BASIC skills of soccer are introduced and practiced. We have many activities planned. Our goal is to help your child learn the fundamentals of this exciting sport. We will teach proper techniques, definition of positions, drills to help implement those positions, basic ground rules of the game, etc.
Each participant will be assigned to a group.
(Ages 4 to 5) Mini-Kickers is for the beginner soccer player who is learning the basic fundamentals of dribbling, passing, and teamwork!
(Ages 6 to 7) Little Kickers is for the player who has some soccer experience and is looking to learn more about passing, dribbling, and actual game play!
(Ages 7 to 9) Big Kickers is for the experienced soccer player that is looking to improve on their soccer abilities!
We recommend that a parent or guardian stay during the session. Please make sure the prior session is done before sending your child to his or her Instructor for their session.
The Department will not teach ‘Heading the Ball’ (the practice of hitting a soccer ball with one’s head).
