The City of Lewiston has a fireworks ordinance that restricts the use of consumer fireworks to three dates and also to within a specific discharge zone. Listed below are the dates and times fireworks are allowed to be used.
To report a fireworks use violation, please call (207) 784-6421, Option #1 for Lewiston.
Consumer Fireworks May be Utilized in Lewiston On:
July 4th between the hours of 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
December 31st between the hours of 10 a.m. until 1 a.m. the following day
January 1st from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Please note that Zone 1 of the Firearms Discharge Map is
fireworks can be dicharged within the City.

The sale of fireworks in Lewiston is prohibited.
